Dr. David J. Helton, O.D.

Dr. David Helton is a native of Atmore, Alabama, and has a strong background in both science and medical eye care. He earned his associate degree from Jefferson Davis Community College, followed by a Bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of Alabama, and later completed his Doctor of Optometry degree at UAB in 2004.

Dr. Helton specializes in medical eye care, including the diagnosis and management of glaucoma and dry eye disease. He is licensed in Alabama and is a member of the Alabama Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.
